Apple Pie That Melts in Your Mouth

Toss the diced and sliced apples with 1 tbsp sugar and set aside.

Make the Batter:
In a bowl, beat the eggs, salt, vanilla sugar, and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy.
Add the oil and warm milk, mixing well.
Sift in the flour and baking powder. Stir until just combined.
Fold in the diced apples and raisins.

Pour and Top:
Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan or springform.
Arrange the thinly sliced apple decoratively on top.
Mix the egg yolk with milk and gently brush over the apple slices.

Bake:
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool and Serve:
Let the pie cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
