Weekend Favorite: Creamy Broccoli & Cauliflower Casserole Everyone Will Love

Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).

Blanch broccoli and cauliflower florets in boiling water for 3–4 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In a pan, sauté onion and sweet peppers in a bit of oil until soft (about 5 minutes).

In another saucepan, make the sauce: melt butter, stir in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, and 1 cup cheese. Stir until melted and creamy.

In a large bowl, combine vegetables and sauce. Mix well and transfer to a greased baking dish.

Top with breadcrumbs and extra cheese. Drizzle olive oil or melted butter over the top.

Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden and bubbling. Let cool slightly before serving.
