Sweet Summer Strawberries with Whipped Cream Delight

Place quartered strawberries in a bowl and sprinkle with sugar. Toss gently and let sit for 10–15 minutes to release juices and create a natural syrup.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract (if using) until soft peaks form.
