Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
Spread the ham evenly over the surface, followed by minced garlic and grated cheese.
Roll up the pastry (like a log) and slice into small rounds, about 1.5–2 cm thick.
Place on the tray, cut side up. Brush with beaten egg if you like a shiny finish.
Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and puffy.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
