Pour ½ cup of white vinegar directly into the fabric softener compartment of your washing machine.
Add a few drops of essential oil if you want to mask the vinegar smell (totally optional).
Wash your clothes as usual, choosing a medium spin cycle.
After the cycle ends, remove clothes immediately and hang or lay them flat to dry.
