Instant Pot Bread (No Oven Needed!)

In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and honey/sugar (if using). Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Stir in flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough:
Knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook.

First Rise in Instant Pot:
Lightly grease the Instant Pot inner pot. Place dough inside and close the lid (use "Yogurt" setting on low for 1 hour, or until doubled in size).

Shape and Second Rise:
Punch down the dough and shape into a round or oval. Place in a parchment-lined pan or baking dish that fits your Instant Pot. Let rise again for 30 minutes.

Cook in Instant Pot:
Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot liner. Place the bread dish on the trivet. Set to “Pressure Cook” on High for 45 minutes. Natural release for 15 minutes, then remove.

Optional Browning:
If you want a golden top, place the bread under a broiler or air fryer for 3–5 minutes until browned.
