Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
Add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until softened.
Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, broth, and seasonings. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and let simmer uncovered for 15–20 minutes.
Stir in pasta and cook for another 10 minutes, or until pasta is tender.
Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot, topped with fresh parsley and Parmesan if desired.
