Identify and fix the moisture source (leaking pipes, poor ventilation). Let the wall dry completely.
Brush It Off:
Use a stiff brush to remove as much saltpeter as possible from the surface.
Vinegar Solution:
Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray generously on the affected area.
Scrub and Wipe:
Scrub with a brush or sponge. Wipe clean with a cloth and let it dry fully.
