Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and cook for about 2–3 minutes until bright green and just tender. Drain and immediately rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Chop into small pieces.
Sauté the Vegetables:
In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent. Add the diced red and green peppers and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
Mix Everything Together:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli, sautéed peppers and onions, milk, and salt. Stir until evenly mixed. If using cheese or herbs, add them now.
Bake:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or pie plate. Pour the vegetable mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the pie is set and lightly golden on top.
Cool and Serve:
Let the pie cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature for best flavor!
