Authentic Homemade Pizza: Salami, Mushrooms, and Mozzarella Delight

In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar and yeast in lukewarm water. Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.

Knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Pizza:

Preheat your oven to 250°C (480°F) or as hot as your oven allows.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Place it on a baking tray or pizza stone.

Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the dough.

Distribute the mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.

Add slices of salami and mushrooms on top.

Drizzle lightly with olive oil.

Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes until the crust is golden and crispy, and the cheese is bubbling.

Serve:

Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Slice and enjoy immediately.
