Replace water with broth in a 1:1 ratio (or mix half broth, half water for lighter flavor).
Cook the rice as you normally would — either in a pot or rice cooker.
2. Sauté Rice Before Adding Liquid:
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter or olive oil in a pan.
Add the uncooked rice and stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until the grains turn lightly golden.
Then add your broth (or water) and cook.
3. Infuse with Aromatics:
Toss in a bay leaf, a cinnamon stick, or a few cloves of garlic into the cooking broth or water.
Let the aromatics infuse the rice as it cooks, then remove any whole spices before serving.
4. Use Coconut Milk for an Exotic Twist:
Substitute half the water or broth with coconut milk.
Add a pinch of salt and a splash of lime juice for a tropical flavor profile.
5. Fluff and Rest:
After the rice has finished cooking, let it sit (covered) for 5 minutes.
Then fluff gently with a fork to separate the grains for a light, fluffy texture.
