In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and cocoa powder. Stir until smooth and fully blended.
Add the crunch:
Crush the butter cookies into fine crumbs (you can use a food processor or place them in a zip-lock bag and crush with a rolling pin). Add the cookie crumbs to the chocolate mixture.
Mix it up:
Pour in the melted butter and half a cup of desiccated coconut. Mix everything together until a sticky dough forms.
Shape the treats:
Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls with your hands.
Finish with coconut:
Roll each ball in desiccated coconut to coat them completely.
Chill and serve:
Place the chocolate balls on a tray lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for about 1 hour until firm.
