In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and creamy.
Add the vanilla extract and salt, mixing until combined.
Gradually add the flour, mixing at low speed or by hand, until the dough comes together.
2. Shape and Bake
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Scoop out small portions of dough and roll them into 1-inch balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the bottoms are just lightly golden—don't overbake!
3. Coat in Powdered Sugar
Let the cookies cool for about 5 minutes. While still warm, roll them in powdered sugar until fully coated.
Once completely cooled, roll them again in another layer of powdered sugar for that perfect snowball finish.
