Prepare the Strawberries: Start by washing and slicing the strawberries. Place them in a bowl, and mix with 1 tablespoon of sugar and fresh lemon juice (optional) to draw out their natural juices. Set them aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

Make the Mascarpone Cream: In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Use a hand mixer or whisk to blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped cream, mixing until fully incorporated.

Prepare the Coffee: Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool. For extra flavor, you can add a tablespoon of sugar to sweeten the coffee slightly.

Assemble the Tiramisu: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, ensuring they are lightly soaked but not too soggy. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a 9x9-inch or similar-sized dish.

Layer the Tiramisu: Spread a layer of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers. Then, add a layer of marinated strawberries, spreading them evenly over the cream. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of mascarpone cream on top.

Chill and Serve: Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor. The tiramisu will become even more flavorful as it sits.

Garnish and Enjoy: Before serving, garnish the strawberry tiramisu with fresh mint leaves or additional strawberry slices for a burst of color.
