Wash and peel the potatoes. Slice them into thin rounds (about 1/4 inch thick) to ensure they cook evenly.
Cook the Potatoes:
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the potato slices, seasoning them with salt. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Assemble the Dish:
In the same skillet, layer half of the cooked potato slices at the bottom. Sprinkle a generous layer of mozzarella cheese over the potatoes.
Prepare the Meat Filling:
(Proceed with your meat filling, seasoning and cooking the meat to your preference, and then add it on top of the potatoes and cheese.)
Top with Remaining Potatoes:
Layer the rest of the potato slices on top of the meat filling, and finish by sprinkling the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Final Cook:
Cover the skillet and cook on low heat for another 5-10 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and everything to come together.
