Turn off the oven and let it cool down if it has been recently used.
Remove oven racks and other accessories. You can clean these separately using dish soap and warm water.
If the oven has any loose food or debris, use a damp cloth to wipe it off before starting the deep clean.
Create a Baking Soda Paste:
In a small bowl, mix baking soda with water to create a paste. The consistency should be thick enough to spread but not too watery.
You can also add a few drops of dish soap for extra grease-fighting power.
Apply the Paste:
Using a spatula or your hands (with gloves), spread the baking soda paste generously over the inside surfaces of the oven, focusing on areas with visible grease buildup.
Avoid applying it to the heating elements or the fan if your oven has one.
Let the paste sit for at least 12 hours (or overnight) for the best results. The baking soda will work to break down grease and grime.
Wipe Away the Paste:
After the paste has had time to sit, use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe it away. For stubborn spots, gently scrub with a scrub brush.
Vinegar Spray (Optional for Extra Degreasing):
Once you’ve removed most of the paste, spray white vinegar inside the oven, especially on areas where the grease has been hard to remove. The vinegar will react with the baking soda and fizz up, which helps loosen up any remaining grime.
Wipe away the mixture with a clean, damp cloth.
