Select a sunny location with well-draining soil. Roses thrive in areas with good air circulation and at least six hours of direct sunlight.
Prepare the Soil:
Dig a hole twice as wide and just as deep as the root ball. Mix compost into the soil to enrich it and encourage healthy root development.
Plant the Rose:
Gently place the rose into the hole, ensuring the graft union is just above soil level. Backfill with the amended soil and pat down firmly.
Water Thoroughly:
After planting, water deeply to help the roots settle. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy during the growing season.
Mulch & Feed:
Add a 2–3 inch layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and prevent weeds. Fertilize every 4–6 weeks during the growing season.
