Peel the potatoes and grate them finely.

Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth and squeeze out excess moisture to ensure the sticks stay crispy.

Make the Dough:

In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes with the shredded cheddar or Edam cheese.

Gradually add the cornstarch to the potato-cheese mixture. Mix everything well until it forms a dough-like consistency. If it's too sticky, you can add a bit more cornstarch.

Shape the Sticks:

Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into sticks or logs with your hands. You can make them as thick or thin as you prefer.

Fry the Sticks:

Heat a bit of oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Carefully fry the potato cheese sticks for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Remove from the pan and place on paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Serve:

Serve the crispy potato cheese sticks hot. You can enjoy them on their own or dip them in your favorite sauce, like ketchup or sour cream.

Enjoy your quick, crispy, and cheesy potato sticks!
They’re super easy to make and incredibly addictive—perfect for a snack or appetizer!
