Bread in 10 Minutes in a Fry Pan (No Eggs, No Yeast, No Oven Required)

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.

Add the vegetable oil and mix it into the flour mixture until it becomes crumbly.

Gradually add the water (and milk, if using) to the mixture, stirring as you go until a dough forms. You may need to adjust the amount of water slightly, depending on the consistency of your flour. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky, but not too wet.

Knead the Dough:

Lightly flour a clean surface and turn the dough out onto it. Knead the dough for about 2-3 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. If it’s too sticky, sprinkle a little more flour as you knead.

Shape the Dough:

Divide the dough into 2-4 small portions, depending on the size of the bread you want to make. Roll each portion into a round ball and flatten slightly with your hands or a rolling pin into thick discs.

Cook the Bread:

Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.

Place the dough discs into the pan, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. You may need to cook in batches.

Cover the pan with a lid to trap the heat. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on the first side, or until the bottom is golden brown and a little crispy.

Flip the bread over and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side, until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve:

Remove the bread from the pan and let it cool slightly. Serve warm with butter, cheese, or your favorite dip.
