Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions

In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.

Sauté the Onions:
Add the thinly sliced onion to the pan and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook until the onions become soft and golden brown.

Add Garlic and Mushrooms:
Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Stir to combine.

Cook the Mushrooms:
Continue to sauté for an additional 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and have released their moisture. The mushrooms should be nicely browned and caramelized.

Season and Serve:
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot as a side dish or topping for your favorite meal!
