Pillowy Stuffed Doughnuts with Creamy Surprise Centers

In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Stir in the oil, then gradually add flour and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shape and Rest:
Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick. Use a round cutter or glass to cut circles.
Place circles on a parchment-lined tray and let rise for another 20–30 minutes.

Fry the Doughnuts:
Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry doughnuts in small batches until golden brown on each side (about 1–2 minutes per side).
Drain on paper towels and let cool slightly.

Fill the Doughnuts:
Using a piping bag with a long tip, poke a hole in the side of each doughnut and fill with your desired filling.
Roll in sugar or dust with powdered sugar while still slightly warm.
