1 medium-sized onion
4 cups of water
Optional: 1 tsp honey or a squeeze of lemon for flavor
How to Make Onion Tea
Peel and Chop
Remove the onion skin and chop it into medium pieces.
Boil Water
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a small pot.
Add Onion
Drop the chopped onion into the boiling water.
Simmer
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15–20 minutes (longer for a stronger brew).
Strain and Flavor
Remove from heat and strain the liquid. Stir in honey or lemon to improve taste, if desired.
Serve
Sip warm. For best results, enjoy it on an empty stomach or between meals.
