Velvety Cocoa Semolina Squares: A Sweet Slice of Simplicity

In a large saucepan over medium heat, pour in the milk. Add semolina, cocoa powder, and sugar to the milk. Stir continuously to prevent lumps from forming.

Cook Until Thickened
Keep stirring the mixture until it thickens to a pudding-like consistency. This should take about 10–15 minutes. Reduce heat to low once it begins to bubble gently.

Add Vanilla (Optional)
Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract for added aroma and depth of flavor.

Set the Mixture
Lightly grease a square or rectangular baking dish with butter. Pour the hot mixture into the dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.

Cool and Slice
Let it cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then transfer to the fridge for at least 2–3 hours to set completely. Once firm, cut into squares.
