Bring 2 cups of fresh, filtered water to a rolling boil in a small saucepan or kettle.
Add Cloves and Ginger
Once boiling, add the whole cloves and sliced or grated ginger. Simmer for 5–7 minutes to extract the full flavor and beneficial oils from the spices.
Steep the Tea
Turn off the heat. Add the Lipton tea bag to the spiced water, cover, and let steep for 3–5 minutes depending on your strength preference.
Strain and Sweeten
Strain the tea into your favorite mug to remove the solids. Stir in honey or maple syrup if desired, and add a splash of lemon juice for brightness.
