In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate and butter (or coconut oil) together. You can do this in a microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, or on a double boiler until completely smooth and melted.
Prepare the Condensed Milk:
In a medium saucepan, pour the condensed milk and gently heat over low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent it from burning.
Combine the Ingredients:
Once the condensed milk is warmed through, add the melted chocolate and butter mixture to the saucepan. Stir well until combined.
Add Nuts, Dried Fruits, and Optional Ingredients:
Stir in the chopped nuts, dried fruits, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt (if desired) for extra flavor and texture.
Set the Fudge:
Line a small baking dish or tray with parchment paper. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared dish, spreading it out evenly.
Chill to Set:
Place the dish in the refrigerator and allow the fudge to set for at least 2-3 hours or until firm.
Cut into Bars:
Once the fudge is fully set, remove it from the fridge and cut it into bars or squares of your desired size.
Serve and Enjoy:
Serve the chocolate nut and fruit fudge bars chilled or at room temperature. These bars make a perfect treat for parties, gifts, or a special snack.
