In a small bowl, combine the warm water, warm milk, and sugar. Sprinkle the dry yeast on top and allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center.
Pour the yeast mixture, olive oil, and egg into the well and stir to combine. Continue mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for 10 minutes on a floured surface until smooth and elastic. Add more flour if needed.
Cover with a clean towel and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Assemble the pizza:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Punch down the dough and divide it into two portions. Roll out one portion into a thin, curved shape.
Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Grate the cheese and sprinkle it evenly over the sauce.
Layer the sliced tomato on top of the cheese and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Bake the pizza:
Place the pizza on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the dough edges with melted butter for a golden, crispy crust.
Beat the egg yolk with a little water and brush it over the crust for a shiny finish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Serve and enjoy:
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Slice and serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
