Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Chicken Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix everything until well incorporated.

Add the Biscuits:
Cut each refrigerated biscuit into quarters. Gently stir the biscuit pieces into the chicken mixture, making sure the biscuits are evenly coated.

Assemble the Casserole:
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and spoon the chicken and biscuit mixture into the dish, spreading it out evenly.

Top with Butter:
Pour the melted butter evenly over the top of the casserole for a golden, crispy finish.

Bake:
Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the biscuits are fully cooked through.

Serve:
Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. It pairs perfectly with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
