Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Prepare the Wet Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Once melted, add the sugar and stir until it dissolves completely. Remove from heat.
Stir in the honey, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
Step 3: Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture. Stir gently after each addition until smooth.
Step 5: Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 6: Cool and Serve
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, slice and serve as is, or dust with powdered sugar for an extra touch.
