Creamy Cucumber and Tomato Salad: A Fresh and Flavorful Delight with Homemade Dressing

Slice the cucumbers thinly, chop the tomatoes into bite-sized pieces, and slice the red onion. If you prefer a milder onion flavor, soak the onion slices in cold water for a few minutes to reduce their sharpness.
Combine the cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onions in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the top for added color and flavor.
Make the Dressing:

In a small bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, white vinegar, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic.
Add the sugar (if using) and mix until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
If the dressing is too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of water to reach your desired consistency. The dressing should be smooth and creamy but not too runny.
Combine and Toss:

Pour the creamy dressing over the cucumber, tomato, and onion mixture. Gently toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated in the dressing.
Chill and Serve:

Refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve chilled as a refreshing side dish with your favorite main courses.
