Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps them crisp up better in the air fryer.
Season the Chicken:
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, pepper, and optional chili powder.
Rub the chicken tenders with olive oil, then coat them evenly with the seasoning mixture. Make sure each tender is well covered.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
Cook the Chicken:
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and is golden brown.
Serve:
Let the chicken tenders rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy them with your favorite dipping sauce or over a salad or rice!
