Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then coat them in cornstarch.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
In the same pan, combine orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, brown sugar, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Bring to a simmer.
Mix the cornstarch and water together, then stir into the sauce. Continue to cook until the sauce has thickened.
Return the chicken to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce.
Serve garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
