Cooking the Pasta
- Prepare the Fettuccine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving a cup of pasta water for later use. Set the pasta aside.
Preparing the Shrimp
- Sauté the Shrimp: While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.
