Shrimp and Lump Crab in Creamy Homemade Cajun Alfredo Sauce
Prepare the Alfredo Sauce:
In a pan, melt a little butter and sauté the chopped red and green bell peppers, half an onion, and a celery rib until tender. Add 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning and 3 cloves of chopped garlic; cook until fragrant.
Stir in 3 tablespoons of flour and cook until the garlic softens.
Gradually add 1 cup of pasta water and 1 cup of heavy cream, stirring well.
Mix in 2 cups of fresh grated Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. Reduce heat to low.
Cook the Shrimp:
In another pan, cook the Cajun-seasoned shrimp in butter until they turn pink.
Combine:
Add the cooked shrimp to the Alfredo sauce and stir. Gently fold in the lump crab.
Add your cooked pasta, or serve the sauce over rice or grits.
