Homemade Bread Rolls Recipe

1. In a bowl, combine your warm water, yeast, and that extra teaspoon of sugar. Give it a good stir and then let it chill out for about 7 minutes until it gets nice and foamy.
2. Next, pour in your warm milk, melted butter, the beaten egg, remaining sugar, and salt. Stir it all up until it's well combined.
3. Now, it's time for the flour! Gradually add it into your mixture. I used about 3 1/2 cups, but feel free to adjust this amount depending on your dough's consistency.
4. If you're using a bread machine like me, pop the dough in and let it do its thing. If not, knead your dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
5. Once your dough is ready, roll it into small, gold-ball sized pieces. Give them a little flatten and place them on a greased cookie sheet.
6. Be patient! Let your dough balls rise for about an hour till they double in size.
7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (or 175°C) and bake your rolls for 20 minutes or until they are a beautiful golden brown color on top.
