1. Sauté onion in olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Add ground beef and sausage, cook until brown. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, sugar, and basil. Let it simmer on low heat.

2. Meanwhile, boil lasagna noodles in a large saucepan for 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.

3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, parmesan, and egg until well combined.

4. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Spray your baking pan with nonstick spray.

5. Assemble the lasagna. Spread 1 cup of meat sauce at the bottom, arrange a layer of noodles, spread 1/2 cup of ricotta mix, sprinkle mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, ending with cheese.

6. Cover with foil, bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil, bake for another 20-25 minutes until it's heated through and cheese is bubbly. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Voila! Your homemade lasagna is ready. Enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done and a meal well cooked! Bon appétit!
