Chinese Pepper Steak with Onions

1️⃣ Marinate the Beef: Combine the beef slices with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and cornstarch in a bowl. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.

2️⃣ Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, beef broth, sugar, and black pepper. Set aside.

3️⃣ Cook the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

4️⃣ Stir-fry the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Stir-fry the minced garlic and sliced onions until fragrant. Add the sliced red bell pepper and continue to stir-fry until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

5️⃣ Combine and Cook: Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.

6️⃣ Garnish and Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot with steamed rice. Enjoy the rich and savory flavors!
