Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
For the Filling
In a large bowl, add the sliced apples and lemon juice together, toss the apple to coat with the lemon juice. Then sprinkle the light brown sugar, sugar, corn starch, cinnamon, nutmeg salt and chopped pecans (if using) over the apples. Stir until well incorporated.
