4 Honeycrisp, Gala or Fuji apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2” pieces
2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup Dixie Crystals light brown sugar
1/2 cup Dixie Crystals extra fine granulated sugar
3 tablespoons corn starch
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
