  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by crushing five to seven bay leaves until you have a full tablespoon of crushed leaves. Similarly, prepare a full tablespoon of fresh rosemary leaves by lightly removing them from their twigs. If fresh rosemary isn’t available, dried leaves can be substituted.
  2. Combine and Cook: Place the bay leaves and rosemary in a bowl, adding two deciliters of cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil. Transfer these ingredients to a smaller bowl that will fit into a larger pot.
  3. Double Boiler Method: Fill the larger pot halfway with water and bring to a boil. Then, place the bowl with your ingredients into the pot, ensuring the water does not enter the bowl. Reduce the heat to medium and let the mixture simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Strain and Store: After cooking, allow the balm to cool for 20 minutes. Then, strain the mixture into a clean jar, ensuring it’s well sealed to preserve the balm.

Application for Best Results

For optimal results, apply the balm to the affected area every night before going to bed. This routine can significantly reduce morning stiffness, swelling, and improve joint mobility. Suitable for use on knees, shoulders, the cervical spine, and lower back, this balm offers a versatile solution to various joint and bone-related discomforts.
